sorry, this journal had to end. I did it because someone asked me when I felt I owed them something.
It used to have one post for every person I had dated, with the timespan of our relationship and a picture of them.
Recently, this journal has been hijacked as a kind of joke, wherein one person represented within the journal knew the password and changed the settings so that it would be a community for those previously represented to speak about me, Jer, rather than the opposite. This left me annoyed because I was not informed and the cryptic indications of what was going on did not make it clear that it was not me posting. At this point I indicated that the "community" could continue if it wanted, as long as everyone understood the situation and no more confusion was created.
As a response to this, someone who I used to date and who I cannot necessarily identify (all of my old partners were lj-friended and given the password in a "friends-only" post), logged into the jersgirlfriends account and changed the settings on the two posts explaining the new state of affairs. They created two custom friends filters (used to determine exactly who can read a given post). One excluded me specifically, and one excluded my current partner Mira. I had originally assumed that the posts had been erased to make my post, a response, look silly, but upon closer inspection it became clear that I had merely been excluded from the journal, along with Mira who more than anyone else involved should be represented by this journal, whatever it is at this point.
Whoever thought that it would be a fun idea to exclude me or that I deserved it or whatever can go fuck themselves. This journal was a lighthearted experiment with nothing but good intentions and I dismantled it because someone asked me nice when I felt guilty. It was hijacked from me after my sacrifice and I still was ready to humor the situation and give the new format a chance, but no one posted anything, no one had anything to say other than that they wanted to make me look dumb and exclude Mira from a conversation of which she should if nothing else be the leader. Very uncool and poor karma.
The original concept for this site was juvenile, but it doesn't even begin to compare to what's been happening here recently. I'm going to change the password then forget what I changed it to. I still won't erase this journal because I hate dead links on the internet, but it is totally jettisoned. |
